imc Test & Measurement, part of Axiometrix Solutions, has introduced the CANSASflex HISO-T-8-2L, a CAN-Bus-based high-voltage thermocouple measurement module designed for precise temperature acquisition in high-voltage environments. Developed for the demands of next-generation e-mobility systems, the module supports safe, accurate thermal monitoring up to 1400 V.
nFor eeNews Europe readers working in EV R&D, battery systems, or powertrain validation, this solution may address increasingly critical safety and performance requirements for thermal testing in HV architectures exceeding 800 V.
nThe HISO-T-8-2L is the latest addition to the CANSASflex series and succeeds its predecessor with a stronger focus on futureproof isolation, DAQ flexibility, and safety-critical design. It provides 8 thermocouple channels via LEMO.2P Redel connectors, supporting four Type K thermocouples per port—standard for thermal analysis in battery and drivetrain systems.
nThe module delivers:
n“By futureproofing isolation levels, the new HISO-T-8-2L is the ideal data acquisition solution in high-voltage environments,” the company stated. Designed for monitoring temperature in DC bus links, traction batteries, or electric drive systems, the high-voltage thermocouple module gives engineers the confidence to work safely and precisely under demanding conditions.
nAs automotive systems move toward faster charging and higher voltages, thermal risks increase—particularly in compact battery packs or high-load components. The HISO-T-8-2L addresses this with both mechanical simplicity and electrical robustness, making it suitable for use in multi-channel test environments where modularity, safety, and signal clarity are key.
nThe module slots directly into the CANSASflex ecosystem and is fully compatible with CANopen protocols, enabling real-time communication with control systems or data loggers in test labs and development rigs.
