Atos has recently unveiled its latest addition to the global network of Modern Security Operations Centers (MSOC) in Seville, Spain. This state-of-the-art facility is already operational 24/7 and is specifically designed to bolster the detection, response, and management of cyber incidents across various infrastructures, including IT, OT, and IoT.

The establishment of this new MSOC underscores the increasing demand for cybersecurity services in European enterprise and industrial sectors. It also signifies the integration of AI-driven tools within Security Operations Centers, which are becoming more crucial for high-tech manufacturing and critical infrastructure operators.

Expanding Atos’ global SOC network

With the launch of the Seville MSOC, Atos now boasts a total of 18 SOCs worldwide, further solidifying its commitment to delivering scalable and adaptive managed cybersecurity services. The facility features continuous monitoring capabilities, crisis coordination spaces, cybersecurity labs, and a specialized training center aimed at nurturing local talent.

During the inauguration ceremony, Jorge Paradela, the Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mines for the region, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in enhancing cybersecurity capabilities. He lauded Atos’ investment as a significant step towards establishing Andalusia as a national and international leader in digital protection, innovation, and public-private partnerships.

AI-driven SOC capabilities

The Seville MSOC aligns with Atos’ strategy to incorporate advanced analytics, centralized threat intelligence, automated playbooks, and AI-powered virtual SOC assistance into its security services. These enhancements are geared towards improving prediction accuracy, enhancing threat detection capabilities, and accelerating response times to emerging cyber risks.

Arancha Jiménez, the VP of Cybersecurity at Atos Iberia, highlighted the integration of autonomous AI agents into SOC operations as a significant advancement. She noted that this technology enhances analytical efficiency and strengthens real-time response capabilities against cyber threats, ultimately enabling faster and more effective incident resolution.
