Eurocircuits, a European specialist in PCB and PCBA prototyping, has announced a strategic partnership with growth-focused private equity investor Avedon Capital Partners. According to a release, the move is intended to accelerate the company’s next phase of expansion while maintaining its engineering-driven culture and digital-first operating model.
For eeNews Europe readers, this development is particularly relevant as prototyping and low-volume manufacturing remain critical enablers of Europe’s electronics innovation cycle. The partnership also signals continued investment in faster, more predictable NPI workflows at a time when design teams are under pressure to shorten iteration cycles.
According to the release, Eurocircuits has built its reputation over more than three decades as a “right first time” manufacturing partner for professional electronics teams. Founded in 1991, the company now supports more than 15,000 active customers across Europe and India, ranging from start-ups to established OEMs and EMS providers.
Eurocircuits operates production facilities in Germany, Hungary and India, employing over 750 people. In India, the company works under the PCB Power brand, extending its online-driven manufacturing model to the local engineering ecosystem.
A key differentiator is Eurocircuits’ integrated digital platform, which combines design rule checking, manufacturability verification, pricing, ordering and tracking into a single workflow. This approach enables engineers to detect issues early in the design phase, reducing costly redesign cycles and improving consistency in prototype production.
Eurocircuits is purpose-built for prototyping and low-volume, high-mix manufacturing, a niche where traditional volume-driven PCB production often struggles. The company positions itself as a complement to volume EMS providers, offering fast lead times without compromising quality or reliability.
This focus has made Eurocircuits a trusted partner in new product introduction, where speed, predictability and technical correctness are essential.
Avedon will support Eurocircuits in strengthening its market position and scaling its digital and technological capabilities, including the targeted use of AI across the organisation, according to the release.
Dirk Stans, Luc Smets and Paresh Vasani, founders of the Eurocircuits, commented: “In Avedon we have found a partner who understands what makes Eurocircuits different and why that matters to our customers… This partnership enables us to invest further in our platforms, our people and our manufacturing capabilities, while staying true to the values and culture on which Eurocircuits was built.”
Emily Jeffries-Boezeman, Partner at Avedon, added: “Eurocircuits is a clear niche leader with a highly differentiated proposition. The Company’s digital-first model designed around customer needs, entrepreneurial energy, and deep engineering edge make it exceptionally well positioned in the PCB and PCBA prototyping market. We look forward to working closely with the founders and management team to support the next stage of growth, building on the strengths that have driven Eurocircuits’ success for more than thirty years.”
The transaction is expected to close by Q2 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
