Essex-based training company Advanced Rework Technology (ART) has recently made a significant investment of over £30,000 in re-work, soldering, and heat management tooling. The equipment was supplied by Kaisertech, a renowned provider in the industry. One of the key additions to ART's arsenal is JBC's DMPSE 4 rework station, which comes with a desoldering module.

"The station enables a user to operate four tools simultaneously," explains ART. "Stackable modules help to conserve workspace, and a selection of compatible tools provide flexibility across multiple soldering and rework applications. JBC offers a wide range of over 500 different shapes and tip geometries to choose from."

In addition to the rework station, Kaisertech also supplied soldering and rework tools specifically designed for small surface-mount devices and high power ground plane soldering. These tools will enhance ART's capabilities in handling various soldering and rework tasks.

For efficient heat management, each JBC stand is equipped with a feature that can detect when its tool has been replaced. This triggers the stand to enter sleep or hibernation mode, ultimately extending the tip life. This innovative functionality ensures that ART's trainees can work with optimal efficiency and productivity.

"We maintain close relationships with tool vendors to ensure that our trainees have access to the latest technology, maximizing their productivity and ensuring the highest quality work," said ART's Managing Director, Debbie Wade.

Established in 1988, ART is headquartered in Witham, Essex, and provides training in hand soldering and PCB rework to companies in various industries, including military, medical, aviation, aerospace, and automotive. ART takes pride in being one of the few fully accredited IPC certification centers worldwide, offering certified IPC training to all programs, including space and military addendums, and adhering to all IPC standards. In addition to training, ART also offers consultancy, inspection plans, and auditing services.
