Advantech, a leading provider of industrial computing solutions, has unveiled a new series of industrial ATX motherboards called AIMB-723. These motherboards are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded 7000 processors, offering high computing performance and a long lifespan of up to seven years.
"This is a significant milestone for Advantech as it marks the first industrial-grade motherboard integrated with the AMD B650 chipset," stated a spokesperson from Advantech. "The AIMB-723 stands out as the first motherboard in the AIMB series to support DDR5 UDIMM, as well as offering compatibility with a three-slot discrete GPU card and three additional frame grabber cards for machine vision."
The AIMB-723 motherboard features four DIMM sockets that can accommodate up to 128GB of DDR5 5200 RAM, providing ample memory for demanding industrial applications.
When it comes to connectivity, the AIMB-723 offers a wide range of options. It supports triple displays with DP, HDMI, and VGA ports, ensuring versatile display configurations. The motherboard also includes USB 3.2 (Gen 2) ports for high-speed data transfer, dual 2.5Gbit Ethernet ports for reliable network connectivity, M.2 and SATA ports for storage expansion (including RAID 0, 1, and 10 support), PCI slots for additional expansion cards, and up to six serial ports (5x RS-232, 1x RS-232/422/485) for legacy device connectivity.
In terms of operating system compatibility, the AIMB-723 supports Windows 10 version 21H2 LTSC, Windows 11 version 22H2 GAC, Windows Server 2022, and Ubuntu 22.04. Advantech provides OS images and essential drivers for easy integration and deployment.
