Supermicro has recently made an exciting announcement at Embedded World, introducing a new line of edge computers powered by Intel's Atom x7000RE processors. Among the standout products are the SYS-E100-14AM and SYS-E102-14AM mini-PCs, designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and compact computing solutions.

The SYS-E100-14AM and SYS-E102-14AM mini-PCs are equipped with up to eight 'Efficient' cores that dissipate less than 12W of power. Despite their small form factor, these systems pack a punch with features such as up to 16GB of DDR5-SODIMM, dual 2.5 GbE LAN ports, two independent HDMI ports, three USB 3.2 ports, and a versatile M.2 B/E/M-key with a NANO SIM card slot.

Supermicro highlighted the compact nature of the SYS-E102, measuring only 190 x 44 x 120 mm. On the other hand, the fanless SYS-E100 is slightly larger and operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. Additionally, the SYS-E100-14AM-IA variant offers DIN rail mounting capabilities, catering to industrial applications that require reliable and rugged computing solutions.

One of the standout products unveiled by Supermicro is the 1U SYS-111AD-WRN2 server, which boasts the ability to accommodate a double-width, full-length GPU card or three PCIe expansion slots. With support for 14th or 13th generation Core processors and up to 128GB of RAM, this server is poised to handle demanding workloads such as video processing, streaming, and robotics.

Lastly, Supermicro introduced the SYS-E403-13E high-performance edge server, featuring a compact design measuring 406 x 267 x 117mm. Powered by 4th or 5th gen Xeon processors and supporting up to 2TB of DDR5-5600 RAM, this server is ideal for applications requiring significant computational power. With dual 10Gbit/s Ethernet ports and support for three PCIe 5.0 x16 cards, the SYS-E403-13E is a versatile solution for distributed computing environments.
