Nominations Open for PSMA Global Energy Efficiency Award

The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) is on the lookout for exceptional energy efficiency systems to honor as part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations in 2025.

The prestigious “Global Energy Efficiency Awards” will be presented at the 40th APEC annual meeting in Atlanta on March 10, 2025, organized by the PSMA.

Nominations are open from April 22 to September 3, 2024, for the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC). Eligible nominees do not have to be PSMA members and can be situated anywhere across the globe. The primary focus of the award criteria revolves around both energy efficiency and the environmental impact of the system in question.

It is important to note that the award is not limited to systems introduced within the past year. Instead, the judges will prioritize the significance of the system’s impact or potential impact on energy consumption. This approach underscores PSMA’s commitment to recognizing innovations that have a lasting effect on energy efficiency.

Trifon Liakopoulos, the chair of the PSMA board, emphasized the organization's dedication to energy efficiency, stating, “Energy efficiency is a consideration in the work of nearly all of the fourteen committees and many forums, publications, technical workshops, seminars, and conference tracks that comprise PSMA’s contributions to the industry. The presentation of this singular award in connection with the organization’s 40th anniversary truly reflects PSMA’s raison d'être.”
