Picocom Silicon Powers Full 5G Small Cell Platform

Situated in Dublin, SRS has successfully integrated, tested, and validated its srsRAN Enterprise 5G stack on Picocom's PC802 small cell development board. This board, originating from the UK, serves as the foundation for the small cell platform, building upon previous integrations with Picocom's ORANIC in-line PHY and NIC.

By leveraging the srsRAN L2 and L3 stack on the Picocom small cell board, customers now have the flexibility to deploy RAN software tailored to their specific needs, whether it be O-RAN, vRAN, or a fully integrated solution. This adaptability ensures optimal performance and efficiency in diverse deployment scenarios.

The srsRAN Enterprise 5G stack, meticulously crafted by the SRS team across Ireland, Spain, and Germany, encompasses layers 1, 2, and 3. This comprehensive stack is designed to be portable across various processor architectures and offers seamless integration with different open RAN implementations, supporting a range of deployment configurations.
