Intel Ignite London Welcomes Second Cohort

Intel Ignite, the innovation program by Intel, is gearing up to kick off its second cohort of startups in the United Kingdom. The program, based in Kings Cross, London, is set to support a diverse range of technology startups focusing on areas such as energy efficiency, data storage, display technologies, and artificial intelligence.

The selection process for this cohort was highly competitive, with only 10 startups making the cut out of 200 applicants. These startups have collectively raised an impressive average of £3.5 million in funding, showcasing the high potential and caliber of the chosen participants.

The startups in this second UK cohort are working on groundbreaking projects that aim to address some of the world's most pressing challenges. Ofer Shayo, Managing Director of Intel Ignite London, emphasized the importance of leveraging AI technology for social good. He stated, "AI has been dominating the conversation in tech, but maximizing its value requires finding applications that can contribute to solving major problems."

Tzahi (Zack) Weisfeld, VP & GM at Intel Ignite, highlighted the significance of the UK startup ecosystem and expressed excitement about the potential impact of the 10 selected companies. He mentioned, "The UK is one of the strongest startup and VC markets globally, and we are thrilled to launch our second cohort there. These companies will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing the tech ecosystem in the UK."

Furthermore, Intel Ignite recently announced the launch of its seventh European cohort, underscoring the program's commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration across the continent. With each new cohort, Intel Ignite continues to nurture and empower startups that are poised to make a significant impact in their respective industries.
