Chinese developer Neusoft has recently made a significant move by porting its AI algorithms to Ambarella’s latest 5nm CVflow edge chips. This collaboration marks a milestone in the advancement of AI technology in the automotive industry.

Neusoft’s Reach Automotive Technology division is set to jointly promote and explore product technology and market development with the 5nm Ambarella CVflow edge AI chips in both China and internationally. With Neusoft Reach's expertise in autonomous-driving AI visual perception algorithms and camera sensors, this partnership is expected to bring about innovative solutions for the automotive sector.

The fruitful collaboration between the two companies has already borne fruit, with the mass production of the first integrated product in 2019. This product features a combination of a driver monitoring system (DMS) and front advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) modules for level L2 operation, showcasing the capabilities of the CVflow chips.

Neusoft Reach’s latest achievement comes in the form of the third-generation forward-facing intelligent camera, X-Cube 3.0, powered by Ambarella’s CV22 AI vision SoC. This cutting-edge camera, equipped with AI perception algorithms targeting L2+ autonomy levels, has been successfully mass-produced and deployed by automotive OEMs, further solidifying the partnership between Neusoft and Ambarella.

Looking ahead, the two companies are now focusing on developing a new generation of high-performance AI domain control solutions. By leveraging Ambarella’s latest family of AI SoCs with an "algorithm-first" approach, Neusoft and Ambarella aim to revolutionize the intelligent driving market, enhance human-vehicle interaction experiences, and drive the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry on a global scale.
