Andes Technology, based in Taiwan, has recently announced the details of its collaboration with Resiltech, an Italian software provider, for Software Test Libraries (STL) tailored for automotive-grade RISC-V processor IP. This partnership, formalized in December, aims to combine Andes' RISC-V processor IP with Resiltech's robust STL libraries to enhance the safety and reliability of automotive electronic systems.

The primary focus of this collaboration is to empower Resiltech in developing advanced STL capable of conducting safety diagnostic analysis specifically for Andes' automotive-grade processor IP lineup. By integrating the offerings of both companies, a comprehensive approach to fault detection and mitigation is ensured, providing automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers with dependable and secure processor solutions.

Andes Technology is gearing up to introduce the D45-SE and D23-SE processors, complete with ISO-26262 certification, in the upcoming months, with a target of achieving ASIL-D full compliance. On the other hand, Resiltech's STLs are strategically designed to simplify the safety certification process of the target system, offering a pre-certified product customized for the target silicon, eliminating the need for additional activities. This approach facilitates a swift software integration strategy and provides tailored support for system safety integration.

The 25-SE series processors, including the N25F-SE and D25F-SE, have been launched by Andes, meeting ASIL-B full compliance and successfully engaging in over a dozen customer projects. Some customers have already transitioned to mass production and attained SoC level ISO-26262 compliance by leveraging Andes' work products.

Samuel Chiang, the marketing director of Andes Technology, expressed excitement about the partnership with Resiltech, emphasizing the commitment to delivering advanced safety features for automotive-grade RISC-V IP. Francesco Rossi, the Safety Solution Director of Resiltech, highlighted the synergy between their expertise in STL development and Andes Technology's innovative processor IP, aiming to provide the automotive industry with a comprehensive solution that surpasses the stringent safety standards of modern vehicles.
