EEPD Unveils Intel/AMD Embedded NUC SBCs and Systems

The PROFIVE NUCU SBCs, developed and manufactured in Germany, stand out for offering the highest AI performance in a compact form factor. These single board computers are powered by processors from the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8000 series, featuring the innovative "Zen 4" x86 core architecture and cutting-edge 4nm process technology. This combination results in exceptional performance and energy efficiency, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.

The NUCU series boasts state-of-the-art RDNA3 Radeon graphics architecture and an integrated XDNA Neural Processing Unit, providing up to 16 TOPS of AI processing power. This makes the SBCs perfect for tasks demanding high CPU and GPU performance, as well as security functions like ECC and hardware TPM. Applications such as 3D rendering, augmented reality, AI systems, IoT edge computing, industrial automation, and computer vision can benefit greatly from the capabilities of the NUCU SBCs.

On the other hand, the NUCN SBCs feature the latest Intel Atom® E-series and Intel® N-series processors. These industrial embedded boards adhere to the embedded NUC standard, offering robustness and reliability in a compact 4 x 4-inch form factor. With components like memory and SSD soldered onto the board, the NUCN SBCs are designed for applications requiring high CPU performance, passive cooling, extended temperature range, and security features such as hardware TPM.

Key features of the NUCN SBCs include up to 16 GB of soldered DDR5 RAM with ECC, soldered eMMC SSD up to 128 GB, multiple 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports, NVMe support, and various security features. Noteworthy strengths of the NUCN boards include an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, long-term availability of up to 15 years, and support for wireless modules like 4G/LTE/5G/WIFI 6.
