Inova Semiconductors has secured sixth place among the most “Innovative Companies 2024” in Germany in an exclusive study by the SZ Institute, part of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The ranking, which is based on a comprehensive analysis of 2,346 companies, shows that the Munich-based semiconductor company has established itself in the top group of future-oriented companies in the country. Recently at electronica 2024, Inova Semiconductors signed a licence agreement with Taiwanese LED manufacturer Lextar.

Under the license agreement signed by Inova Semiconductors and Lextar, a subsidiary of Ennostar, Inova will provide its ISELED and ILaS-IP technology to Lextar. This license agreement aims to push technological boundaries and deliver cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of automotive interactive lighting applications. By leveraging Inova’s essential IP and technology, Lextar will unveil a new generation of smart LED packages to the market. The new products will revolutionize both indoor and outdoor lighting applications.

“The renewed award from the SZ Institute and the granting of the license to Lextar are further evidence of our consistent commitment to innovation and sustainable development,” says Robert Isele, CEO of Inova Semiconductors. “The partnership with Lextar aims to expand the automotive ambient lighting ecosystem, ensuring the maturity of ISELED applications both inside and outside vehicles. Both companies also plan to launch new products in the first quarter of 2026, with their ICs and packages receiving AEC-Q100 and AEC-Q120 certifications, respectively, writing a new chapter for ISELED.”

ISELED is the first technology to enable smart LEDs for automotive applications and is used by numerous car manufacturers worldwide. ILaS makes it possible to network ISELED LEDs and connect all interior lighting systems via cable. This enables the implementation of complete, hardware-only lighting systems in the car that can be centrally controlled and easily integrated into existing and future E/E architectures.
