Ceva recently announced that Nextchip has licensed the NeuPro-M Edge AI NPU IP for its upcoming advanced driver assistance systems. The Ceva-NeuPro-M NPU architecture is specifically designed to accelerate deep learning and machine learning workloads across various applications. Featuring a scalable architecture and advanced processing capabilities, the NeuPro-M excels in efficiently processing complex neural networks, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and vision transformers (ViT).
With a processing range of 4 to 400 TOPs per core and exceptional area efficiency, the Ceva-NeuPro-M optimises key AI models seamlessly. Its support for different fixed-point and floating-point data types and formats ensures the highest efficiency in neural network realisation. The built-in DSP capabilities make the NeuPro-M IP ideal for applications that demand high-performance AI processing, such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and computer vision. Additionally, a robust AI SDK complements the NPU by simplifying hardware implementation, model quantisation and optimisation, and runtime module composition.
