EPICURE has launched the European HPC Application Support Portal, a new online platform designed to make it easier for researchers and innovators across Europe to access and optimize their use of EuroHPC supercomputing systems. The portal, unveiled during the EuroHPC JU User Days 2025 in Copenhagen, marks a key milestone in simplifying how users engage with Europe’s powerful HPC infrastructure.

For eeNews Europe readers, the portal represents a practical step forward in bridging the gap between HPC capability and accessibility — particularly for engineers, developers, and research teams working to scale computationally intensive applications across domains from AI to materials science.

Central hub for EuroHPC support and knowledge

Developed under the EPICURE project, the European HPC Application Support Portal provides a single entry point for information and technical assistance on EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (JU) systems. It enables users to request support directly through a streamlined application form, access comprehensive documentation, and find best practices for optimizing applications on Europe’s top-tier supercomputers.

“The Application Support Portal aims to give easy access to the European-Level HPC support, drawing on the experience and expertise of the EPICURE collaboration and community,” said Janne Ignatius, EPICURE coordinator. “The portal provides a single point of contact allowing European HPC users to retrieve information on the systems offered by the EuroHPC JU, their architectures, access mechanisms, and the support services available.”

The portal’s features include:

  • Guidance on EuroHPC system access and allocation procedures
  • A user-friendly support request process
  • A growing technical knowledge base with hands-on HPC resources
  • Access to tutorials, user guides, and training materials

Strengthening Europe’s HPC ecosystem

By integrating resources and expertise across the continent, EPICURE’s new portal directly supports Europe’s goal of becoming a global leader in supercomputing. It is designed for both newcomers and advanced users, lowering technical barriers and encouraging greater adoption of EuroHPC infrastructure by academia, research centers, and industry.

“By centralising information, providing streamlined support, and offering practical guidance, EPICURE’s newly launched platform enables researchers, innovators, and industry users to better leverage EuroHPC systems,” said Anders Jensen, EuroHPC JU Executive Director. “It demonstrates EPICURE’s commitment to supporting users and helping advance Europe’s leadership in HPC.”

The portal complements EPICURE’s broader mission to coordinate HPC application support across EuroHPC hosting entities and will continue to evolve with new training materials and updates.
