SEMICON Japan 2025 is gearing up to transform Tokyo Big Sight into the global hub of the semiconductor industry from December 17–19. With over 1,200 exhibitors and a diverse agenda of seminars and forums covering topics ranging from advanced packaging and chiplets to AI, robotics, and photonics, the event promises to be a melting pot of innovation and collaboration.

Providing a front-row seat to the latest advancements in semiconductor manufacturing and design, SEMICON Japan offers insights into next-gen materials, sustainability strategies, and the ever-evolving landscape of the industry. It serves as a window into one of the most dynamic markets in the semiconductor world.

New Summits Embrace Cutting-Edge Technologies

Under the theme of AI x Sustainability x Semiconductor, SEMICON Japan will introduce the AI x Sustainability x Semiconductor Summit, shedding light on the intersection of artificial intelligence and green technologies within the semiconductor value chain. Additionally, the Metrology and Inspection Summit (MIS) will focus on enhancing quality assurance in chip fabrication processes.

Running concurrently with these new summits are the Advanced Packaging and Chiplet Summit (APCS) and the Advanced Design Innovation Summit (ADIS), which will delve into packaging and board assembly advancements and next-generation chip design and verification technologies, respectively.

Debuting on December 16, the day before SEMICON Japan kicks off, the Strategic Materials Conference (SMC) will gather industry executives and researchers to explore emerging materials and market trends driving AI and advanced semiconductor development.

Keynote Speakers and Insightful Discussions

The event boasts a lineup of esteemed speakers from the semiconductor and technology sectors, including Mukesh Khare from IBM Semiconductors, Scott DeBoer from Micron Technology, Akiko Kudo from NTT Docomo Business, and Toshiki Kawai from Tokyo Electron. Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions at the SEMI Market Forum, Semiconductor Materials Forum, and Bulls & Bears sessions, where industry analysts will dissect market trends and investment opportunities.

Nurturing Talent and Promoting Collaboration

While technology takes center stage at SEMICON Japan, the event also emphasizes the importance of fostering talent and encouraging collaboration. Events like Thursday Wakamono Night and Mirai College aim to engage students and young engineers, while the Women in Business panel advocates for diversity in the industry. University and college research exhibitions will showcase the innovative work of the next generation of semiconductor professionals.

Adding an interactive element to the event, projects like The Game, a SoC design card game, and Circuit Design, a student competition, offer hands-on educational experiences. The Semiconductors & e-Sports section will explore the connection between gaming and semiconductor technologies, featuring demonstrations by professional players. SEMI
