DigiKey, STMicroelectronics, and Ultra Librarian have joined forces to enhance the eDesignSuite integration within ST’s browser-based design environment. The goal is to streamline the process from initial simulation work to bill-of-materials export and component purchasing. This collaboration aims to reduce the need for engineers to switch between different tools by providing a seamless flow from design and simulation to BOM refinement, schematic export, and purchasing.

Benefits of the eDesignSuite Integration

The expanded integration between ST’s online design tools, Ultra Librarian’s component-library infrastructure, and DigiKey’s fulfilment platform offers engineers a comprehensive solution for power-management design, signal-conditioning work, and NFC/RFID development. The web-based environment also supports electrical and thermal simulation, providing a holistic approach to the design process.

ST’s browser-based design environment already covers various design domains, but this new collaboration enhances the connection to procurement and CAD output. Engineers can now make real-time BOM refinements, visualize the impact of parameter changes, export schematics and BOMs to popular CAD platforms like OrCAD, Altium, and Eagle, and seamlessly order the required components through DigiKey.
