Hi…the FPGA has a time to market and cost advantage over specialized ASICs and a performance advantage in most cases compared to running software atop CPUs to perform certain functions, and that is why we think they will be sprinkled around the datacenter in server, switching, and storage layers and accelerating functions all throughout the workflow.
