Siemens and Capgemini have announced an expansion of their partnership to focus on developing a new generation of AI-native digital solutions for product engineering, manufacturing, and industrial operations. Unlike traditional approaches of adding AI as an afterthought, these solutions will have AI embedded at the core right from the beginning. This strategic move highlights the increasing integration of industrial AI, automation, and digital twins into large-scale, real-world applications that deliver tangible efficiency and sustainability benefits.
The collaboration between Siemens and Capgemini will concentrate on 16 capability areas across industries such as aerospace, automotive, life sciences, as well as emerging sectors like hydrogen and water/wastewater. By leveraging Siemens’ expertise in industrial automation, electrification, and sustainability technologies alongside Capgemini’s proficiency in engineering and business transformation, the partnership aims to bridge the longstanding gap between IT and OT systems. The companies plan to utilize "AI-native assets," including orchestrated AI agents, to enhance collaboration among engineering, production, and operations.
“For our customers Capgemini is like a compass – deeply familiar with our customers’ challenges and ambitions. Siemens provides the engine: Technologies like industrial AI, digital twins, and automation,” said Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. “Together, we guide our customers through their digital transformation with speed, precision, and a clear course toward the future.” Aiman Ezzat, CEO of the Capgemini Group, added: “By combining our strengths, our ambition is to help clients navigate complexity and realize tangible business impact, setting new benchmarks for operational efficiency."
As a leader in bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds, Capgemini enables clients to transform their engineering and manufacturing operations rapidly. The strengthened partnership with Siemens underscores a shared commitment to delivering industrial AI and future-ready intelligent manufacturing, creating new value for industries. The companies are dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of digital transformation and achieve significant business outcomes.
Three industry use cases provide concrete examples of the approach in action. Airbus is utilizing support from Siemens and Capgemini as part of a decarbonization program across four industrial sites in the U.S. and U.K. Energy system digital twins will assist in planning measures to reduce energy consumption by 20% and decrease Scope 1 and 2 stationary emissions by 85% by 2030. Sanofi is digitizing manufacturing workflows by implementing AI-supported Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) globally, resulting in a 70% reduction in review time and an 80% decrease in deviations. GravitHy, a French hydrogen producer, is digitalizing operations to enhance agility and target hydrogen production cost reductions of up to 10%.
In order to support scaling, Capgemini will expand its pool of Siemens-certified experts. Currently, the companies collaborate with more than 100 joint clients in over 20 countries, demonstrating the widespread impact and reach of their partnership in driving innovation and digital transformation across various industries.
