Siemens has officially named Ann Fairchild as the president and CEO of its U.S. operations, solidifying her position after serving as the interim leader since October 2025. This decision places a seasoned company executive at the forefront of Siemens’ largest market globally.

The appointment of Fairchild comes at a time when Siemens is expanding its footprint in infrastructure modernization, manufacturing reshoring, and AI-driven industrial technologies within the United States.

Leadership for Siemens’ Largest Market

With over 25 years of experience at Siemens, Fairchild, aged 54, most recently held the position of general counsel for Siemens USA. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations nationwide, where Siemens employs over 50,000 individuals across all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The United States stands as Siemens’ primary global market, generating $24 billion in revenue during fiscal 2025. Fairchild will be instrumental in steering the company’s strategy and engagement throughout the region as Siemens delves deeper into digitalization, smart infrastructure, and industrial AI.

“Ann Fairchild embodies the ideal leadership qualities for this juncture,” remarked Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. “As U.S. customers fortify critical infrastructure, bring back manufacturing operations, and expand their AI capabilities, Ann’s resolute and collaborative leadership will empower Siemens to provide enhanced value for our clientele. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with Ann to advance our ONE Tech Company initiative in the U.S., our largest market.”

Experience Across Legal and Corporate Strategy

During her tenure as general counsel of Siemens USA for eight years, Fairchild oversaw legal, compliance, regulatory, and intellectual property functions. In this capacity, she facilitated intricate transactions, bolstered governance across the company’s portfolio, and aligned operations across Siemens’ diverse business units.

Her adeptness in navigating regulatory landscapes and facilitating strategic growth initiatives is poised to be pivotal as Siemens continues to broaden its presence in advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and AI-driven technologies.

“Siemens proudly caters to tens of thousands of customers nationwide, supporting the backbone of the American economy – fostering manufacturing growth, constructing smarter infrastructure, revolutionizing rail networks, and cultivating a skilled workforce,” expressed Fairchild. “I am privileged to contribute to our endeavors in this era of opportunity – as we bring AI into practical application and aid customers in enhancing their competitiveness, resilience, and efficiency.”

Long Career at Siemens

Having joined Siemens in 1999 within the Power Generation division, Fairchild has progressed through a series of senior leadership roles within the Legal and Compliance sector.

Currently, she sits on the Siemens Corporation board of directors and is a board member of the German American Business Council, where she contributes to transatlantic dialogues on policy, diplomacy, and commerce. Fairchild was also recently appointed to the board of directors of Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP).

Prior to her tenure at Siemens, Fairchild served as a law clerk for the Honorable Tommy Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and later worked as a litigation associate at McGuireWoods in McLean, Virginia.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a concentration in finance from the University of Virginia and a juris doctor from the College of William & Mary School of Law.
