Phoenix Contact, a leading manufacturer of electrical connection and industrial automation technology, has expanded its product offerings with the introduction of the new SPT 35/..-H high-current PCB terminal blocks. This latest addition to the company's portfolio features spring connection technology and horizontal conductor connection direction, providing enhanced flexibility for a variety of applications.
The SPT 35/..-H terminal blocks are designed for wave soldering and are available in standard versions ranging from 1 to 5 positions. With a 15 mm pitch, these terminal blocks can accommodate conductors with cross-sections of up to 35 mm² using the convenient and tool-free Push-in connection technology. The defined contact force ensures stable and reliable connections, making them ideal for front-of-device installations.
In addition to the high-current terminal blocks, Phoenix Contact has also introduced the FS 0,635 series board-to-board connector with floating functionality. This innovative connector offers high tolerance compensation of ±0.7 mm in the x and y directions, exceeding the pitch of 0.635 mm. The plug-in tolerance of 0.6 mm in the z direction minimizes mechanical strain and ensures a secure connection, particularly in high-vibration environments or when using multiple connectors side by side.
One of the key features of the FS 0,635 series is its unique combination of floating design and high-speed data transmission capabilities. Despite the floating contact design, the connector can achieve data transmission rates of up to 40 Gbps, making it suitable for applications requiring high-speed connectivity. Phoenix Contact also offers design-in support, including high-speed simulations and S-parameters, to assist customers in optimizing their board-to-board connections.
Both the high-current PCB terminal blocks and the board-to-board connectors are well-suited for a wide range of applications, including data communications, telecommunications, IT, and manufacturing. The new products are now available for sampling through Phoenix Contact's website, providing customers with the opportunity to experience the benefits of these innovative solutions firsthand.
