Anders Storm is set to lead the way as the new Chief Executive Officer of Dirac Research, a renowned Swedish digital audio innovator. His appointment comes after his successful tenure as the CEO of Sivers Semiconductor, a prominent wireless and photonic chip manufacturer, where he resigned in March.
Dirac Research specializes in developing cutting-edge software that enhances the sound quality across various audio systems. The company has established partnerships with industry giants such as NXP, Analog Devices, and BES to integrate digital audio algorithms into chips, creating a seamless ecosystem for OEMs to implement Dirac technology on a larger scale.
According to Johan Sedihn, the chair of Dirac, the automotive sector has been a significant growth market for the company, with sales soaring by 62 percent in 2023 and continuing to rise by 52 percent in 2024, bolstered by a strategic collaboration with Dolby. Additionally, consumer sales in the Home Audio segment have experienced substantial growth, currently up by 35 percent in the first half of 2024.
Expressing his enthusiasm about Storm's appointment, Sedihn stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Anders to Dirac during this pivotal phase in our 20-year journey. His extensive background in software, semiconductors, and hardware-software engineering, combined with his proven track record in executive leadership, align perfectly with our current and future strategic objectives."
Storm, reflecting on his new role, remarked, "Dirac has been at the forefront of digital audio innovation since its inception in 2001, earning a well-deserved reputation as a trailblazer in the audio industry. I am eager to collaborate with this team of audio visionaries and leverage my expertise to drive the company's growth across diverse markets and channels globally."
