Early registration pays off: Secure your ticket for the online conference ‘Zephyr – The Open RTOS for Future Devices’ on 5 November 2025 at the early bird price of only €199 – valid until 8 October 2025!

The event will bring together Zephyr experts to present the latest trends in the real-time operating system, best practices, and innovative Zephyr solutions for embedded and IoT systems.

Secure, fast, scalable – Zephyr

The open-source real-time embedded operating system Zephyr is enjoying increasing popularity, and not only because of its broad hardware support. Due to its very low memory requirements, it is particularly suitable for applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) and in embedded systems, and offers a complete embedded development platform. However, the learning curve is quite steep, which is why there is a great need for training.

The online conference on 5 November (from 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. CEST) offers a compact learning experience that helps architects, developers, and others take their first steps or build on their existing experience. The presentations illustrate why now is the right time to get involved with the Zephyr ecosystem.

What to expect from the Online Conference

The Zephyr Conference offers six practical, 45-minute presentations with 15-minute live Q&As.

In the presentations, participants will

  • learn more about the key features of Zephyr that make it a modern and promising RTOS.
  • get to know the architectural perspective from functional design to efficient implementation.
  • gain insights into how Zephyr can be a secure choice for embedded development.
  • experience how machine learning can be used for microcontrollers with Zephyr and emlearn.
  • see how a Zephyr application can be written in Rust.
  • get an assessment of where and how Zephyr fits into your own projects, whether you are developing prototypes or scaling up for production.

Speakers at the event are Benjamin Cabé (Developer Advocate for the Zephyr Project, The Linux Foundation), Tobias Kästner (Solution Architect Medical IoT, inovex), Pierre Lecomte (Head of Software Solutions, Witekio), Jon Nordby (Chief Technology Officer, Soundsensing), and Mohammed Billoo (Embedded Software Consultant, MAB Labs Embedded Solutions).

The full-day event is aimed at:

  • Developers who work with microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded Linux and are interested in real-time capability, portability, driver development, and toolchains.
  • IoT architects and system integrators specializing in connected devices, edge computing, and cloud integration.
  • Security experts and specialists in secure firmware, trusted execution environments, and cryptography.
  • Providers of tools and hardware for boards, debuggers, IDEs, and toolchains with an interest in integration issues and driver support.

Why should you register now?

After each presentation, participants can join a live Q&A session with the speaker and connect with fellow engineers in moderated video breakout rooms. All talks will be recorded and available on demand, along with supplementary materials. A certificate of participation will also provided.

Currently, the Early Bird ticket costs €199, but from 8 October, a Regular ticket will be €249. Gold or Green members of Elektor, to which eeNews Europe belongs, will receive an additional discount so that they only have to pay €149 for a ticket.

Those interested can find further information on the conference website.
