Q5D, a company based in the UK, has recently secured an additional £2 million in funding to expand its production capabilities for automotive wiring harness robotic assembly systems. The loan, provided by Innovate UK, will be utilized to establish an engineering support team, obtain compliance certifications, and enhance quality standards while also ramping up production. This latest funding round comes on the heels of a previous £2 million venture funding injection in December. Notably, Q5D has successfully delivered its CY10W robotic wire harness manufacturing platform to the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry and has obtained CE marking.

According to the company, Q5D is already engaged in collaborations with some of the largest manufacturing firms, providing pilot lines and spearheading crucial projects.
