Additionally, he serves as a Dstl Fellow for "Critical Software" at the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).
Joining Ashmore is John Goodacre, Professor of Computer Architecture at the University of Manchester, who will be exploring the theme of Redesigning Cybersecurity for a Resilient Future. Goodacre's presentation will delve into key concepts such as cyber security, secure by default, and secure by design. He will also provide insights into government strategies and evolving language in the cybersecurity landscape.
Goodacre's extensive background includes a tenure of 17 years at ARM as the Director of Technology and Systems, during which he played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of multicore processors and other groundbreaking technologies. He has been appointed by the UK government's Research & Innovation agency as the Director of Digital Security by Design.
