Chinese chip designer AutoChips has partnered with local supplier VeriSilicon to incorporate multiple IP blocks, including AI technology, in its latest intelligent cockpit domain controller chip.
The AutoChips SoC AC8025 features Neural Network Processing Unit (NPU) IP, Video Processing Unit (VPU) IP, and Display Processing IP from VeriSilicon. This strategic move by AutoChips aims to establish a prominent presence in the Chinese automotive electronic chip market.
The AC8025 boasts eight ARM Cortex-A76 and A55 high-performance CPU cores, meeting stringent quality and safety certifications for automotive applications. It supports advanced features such as 8-channel full HD camera input, 7-channel full HD distinct displays, and compatibility with various screen configurations.
The VeriSilicon VIP9000 NPU integrated into the cockpit domain controller enables applications like Face ID, Driver Monitoring System (DMS), and Occupant Monitoring System (OMS). With a performance of 1.2 INT8 TOPS, the VIP9000's tiling architecture enhances real-time processing efficiency and stability in vehicle systems.
VeriSilicon's comprehensive IP portfolio, including the VIP9000 NPU, VC8000LE, VC8000D, and DC8100, supports deep learning frameworks and diverse video formats, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance in intelligent cockpit solutions.
