SolidRun and Amarisoft have collaborated to showcase a groundbreaking achievement in the realm of telecommunications technology. Together, they have successfully demonstrated a full 4G/5G base station that operates entirely on an embedded x86 platform. This innovative solution is built on SolidRun’s AMD Ryzen Embedded V3000-based COM Express module and HoneyComb carrier board, enabling it to run Amarisoft’s complete software-defined radio stack without the need for external accelerators or GPUs.

With support for 100 MHz bandwidth and 4T4R MIMO, the solution utilizes the general-purpose x86 processing power of the AMD Ryzen Embedded V3000. At the heart of the system lies the AMD Ryzen Embedded V3000 processor, offering up to 8 cores and 16 threads of processing power. The HoneyComb carrier board provides essential I/O and system integration features required for telecom-grade deployment.
