CUI, a leading manufacturer of electronic components, has recently unveiled a diverse range of AC fans designed to meet various cooling requirements. With air flows ranging from 45 to 165CFM, these fans offer a reliable and efficient cooling solution for a wide range of applications.

The AC fan family consists of 26 members, each available in three different frame sizes. The square frames measure 120 x 120mm and are either 26 or 38mm thick, while the circular frame has a diameter of 172mm (truncated to 150mm in one dimension) and is 51mm thick. The frames are made of durable aluminium, while the impeller is constructed from polymer (PBT, UL94V-0).

One of the key features of these AC fans is the choice between ball or sleeve bearing construction. This allows users to select the bearing type that best suits their specific application requirements. Additionally, the fans can operate over a wide voltage range, including 110 to 125V and 220 to 240V, at both 50 and 60Hz.

Each fan within the CUI AC fan family is rated separately for air flow, speed, noise, and power at 50Hz and 60Hz. The rated speeds range from 1,300 to 2,900rpm, noise levels vary from 27.7 to 52.1dBA, and power consumption ranges from 7.1 to 32.1W. For example, the CAF-A751B-124-410 model, operating at 110V and 60Hz, offers an air flow of 87.36CFM, a speed of 1,400rpm, a static pressure of 0.1inch, and a noise level of 35.8dBA. At 50Hz, the same model provides an air flow of 149.33CFM, a speed of 2,400rpm, a static pressure of 0.26inch, and a noise level of 49.1dBA.

All models in the CUI AC fan family are designed to withstand a wide temperature range, from -10 to 70°C, making them suitable for use in various environments. While these fans do not feature a tachometer signal or rotation detection, they do have a rated stall current. Furthermore, they have received UL/cUL 507 and TUV safety approvals, and comply with EN 55014 and EN/IEC 61000 standards, as well as RoHS regulations.
