Nisshinbo Micro Devices has recently introduced a new broadband low noise amplifier GaAS MMIC GaAS for various broadcasting applications, including BS/CS TV, TV Tuner Module, and STB.

The NJG1188KG1 is a highly versatile broadband LNA that supports a wide bandwidth, accommodating both conventional Broadcasting Satellite (BS) and Communications Satellite (CS) services, as well as advanced 4K and 8K broadcasting satellite services.

One of the key features of the NJG1188KG1 is its ability to maintain high gain and low distortion characteristics over a wide bandwidth. While traditional circuits for Low Noise Amplifiers require separate frequency ranges for different broadcasting satellite bandwidths, the NJG1188KG1 can support the entire bandwidth from 950 to 3224 MHz. This wider bandwidth typically results in degraded gain and distortion characteristics, but Nisshinbo claims that their technology overcomes this challenge.

Another advantage of the NJG1188KG1 is the reduction in the number of components required. By being able to receive signals across the entire 950 to 3224 MHz bandwidth, the need for additional diplexers is eliminated, reducing the number of LNAs by one. This not only lowers the overall cost but also enhances the longevity and reliability of the system by reducing potential points of failure. The NJG1188KG1 is packaged in an ESON6-G1 package, measuring 1.6 x 1.6 x 0.397 mm.
