TDK has introduced a new 200W non-isolated, buck-boost DC-DC converter with a wide output range of 9.6 to 28V at up to 10A. The TDK-Lambda i1C series DC-DC converter, measuring 1”x1” (26.42 x 26.42 x 10.2mm), comes in an industry standard package size and can operate from input voltages of either 9 to 36V or 18 to 75V.
The i1C models are designed to replace existing isolated converters, offering a higher power migration path for applications that require additional output power from an isolated AC-DC power source. This 300W DC-DC converter also adds an adjustable current limit option for parallel operation.
Specifically suitable for generating a wide range of high-power DC outputs from 12, 24, and 48V system voltages, the i1C series is ideal for use in medical, industrial, test, measurement, and battery-powered equipment such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Industrial Mobile Robots (IMR), and drones.
With an efficiency of up to 98%, the i1C converters can deliver high usable power in demanding thermal environments, with case temperatures ranging from -40°C to +120°C, ultimately contributing to a longer battery life. The converters' dimensions and pin-out are compatible with the industry standard 1” x 1” footprint.
The models in the i1C family feature an output voltage adjustment pin, positive or negative logic remote on-off, input under-voltage, over-current, and thermal protection. They carry the CE and UKCA marks for the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives and are designed to meet the IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standards. Evaluation boards are available for quick and easy testing.
