StarPower, a leading provider of power semiconductor solutions, has introduced two cutting-edge three-phase IGBT modules designed specifically for traction inverter control in e-mobility applications.

The innovative design of these modules incorporates all six trench IGBTs into a single housing, along with an integrated temperature sensor, resulting in a compact and efficient solution for electric vehicle power systems.

Utilizing trench semiconductor technology, these modules offer exceptional performance characteristics, including low switching losses, high short-circuit protection, and overall superior efficiency. StarPower offers two versions of these modules: one rated at 750 V / 660 A (model GD660HTA75P7H) and the other at 1200 V / 260 A (model GD260HTA120P7H).

The topology arrangement of the three-phase-bridge configuration ensures a space-saving inverter design suitable for both main drive and auxiliary applications. Additionally, each IGBT within the module is equipped with an integrated freewheeling diode for enhanced functionality.

To further optimize performance, the housings of these modules are designed to minimize inductance. The GD660HTA75P7H model features an electrically insulated all-copper base plate utilizing PINFIN technology and high-strength ceramic material silicon nitride (Si3N4) for efficient cooling. On the other hand, the high-voltage GD260HTA120P7H model incorporates a base plate in DBC technology with a PINFIN structure for effective heat dissipation.

StarPower also offers customization options to meet specific design requirements, making these modules versatile solutions for a wide range of e-mobility applications. For more information, visit www.starpowereurope.com.
