Embedded World honours nine award winners

Nine companies have been recognized for their outstanding achievements at the Embedded World exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany, this week. The event showcased the latest innovations in embedded systems, with a total of 27 products nominated across nine categories for the prestigious embedded award. A panel of experts carefully evaluated the submissions and selected the winners, highlighting the cutting-edge advancements in the industry.

According to Prof. Dr. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference and head of the embedded award jury, the pace of innovation in the world of embedded systems is remarkable. He noted that the industry is experiencing continuous technological progress, driven by a series of developments in various embedded technologies. Prof. Sikora emphasized that the evolution of embedded AI and embedded vision technologies is particularly noteworthy, with multiple companies contributing to advancements in these areas.

The winners of the embedded award 2025 represent a diverse range of products and solutions that have demonstrated excellence in their respective categories. The community choice award went to Team Group for their D500R WORM SD card and D500R WORM microSD card. Other notable winners include Ambiq for their Artificial intelligence heartKIT AI development kit, Cadence Design Systems for their Hardware Base system chiplet, and Tianma for their Electronic displays 8” MicroLED IRIS panoramic head up display.

In addition, Tropic Square received recognition for their TROPIC01 secure element in the Safety & Security category, while NXP Semiconductors was honored for their Trimension NCJ29D6 Ultra-Wideband IC in the SoC/IC/IP design category. The award for Software Driver was presented to Automated Technical Documentation Driver, and Accelerat was recognized in the Start-up AI category for their AI Bunker solution, which focuses on protecting AI models at the edge.

The embedded award jury, comprised of seven industry experts, played a crucial role in the selection process. The panel included Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Prof. Karlheinz Blankenbach, Caspar Grote, Prof. Dr. Jean-Philippe Lauffenburger, Jeff Bier, Randall Restle, and Prof. Dr. Weiyan Hou. Their collective expertise and insights helped identify the most innovative and impactful products in the embedded systems industry, showcasing the ongoing advancements and potential for future growth.
