After 20 years at the helm, the CEO of Japanese real-time software developer eSol is preparing to step down at the end of March. Katsutoshi Hasegawa's departure will mark a significant transition for the company, with Chief Technology Officer Masaki Gondo set to take over the leadership role while retaining his current position.

The formal approval of this leadership transition is expected to take place at the annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for March 28, 2025. Following the shareholders' meeting, the decision will be ratified at the Board of Directors meeting, solidifying the appointment of Gondo as the new CEO.

Established in 1975, eSol is renowned for its full-stack embedded software solutions built on the eMCOS real-time operating system (RTOS), which leverages eSOL's patented multikernel technology. The company's product portfolio spans platform, OS, and application layers, along with toolchains and processes. Additionally, eSol actively participates in standardization activities related to AUTOSAR, Autoware, and multi/many-core technologies.
