Festo Joins Phoenix Open PLC Team

European industrial automation pioneer Festo has announced a strategic partnership with Phoenix Contact to utilize the PLCnext technology open automation ecosystem in their upcoming intelligent devices. The collaboration was unveiled at the prestigious Hannover Fair in Germany, with Festo planning to introduce their new product line by the end of the year.

PLCnext Technology, known for its open architecture, empowers Festo to tailor automation solutions to meet specific customer needs. By leveraging the combined expertise of both companies, they aim to foster a fruitful partnership that addresses evolving technological challenges, including cybersecurity.

Frank Stührenberg, CEO of Phoenix Contact, emphasized the importance of such collaborations in today's dynamic landscape.
