Distributor Fortec is targeting the medical markets with innovative solutions from Axiomtek, focusing on the latest PC and COM Express Type 6 module powered by Gen 12 and 13 Intel processors, namely Alder Lake and Raptor Lake, respectively.

The mBOX602 PC is designed to support i7, i5, and i3 processors up to 65W, with 2x DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM slots allowing for a maximum of 64Gbyte memory capacity. Fortec emphasized the importance of compliance, stating, "The mBOX602 is IEC 60601 compliant, ensuring user safety when interacting with medical equipment."

Display options include two HDMI 1.4 ports supporting resolutions up to 4,096 x 2,160 at 30Hz and one DisplayPort++ 1.2 port capable of 4,096 x 2,304 at 60Hz. Communication features consist of 2.5Gbit LAN, two COM ports, and internal expansion slots including one PCIe x16, one M.2 Key E 2230 slot, and one M.2 Key B 3052/3042 slot.

Storage capabilities of the mBOX602 include SATA-600 and one M.2 Key M 2280 slot, with added security provided by TPM 2.0. The operational temperature range is 0 to 40°C with humidity levels between 10% to 90% non-condensing. The compact dimensions of 240 x 302 x 90mm and weight of 4kg make it suitable for various medical applications.

On the other hand, the COM Express module CEM561 from Axiomtek offers compatibility with i7, i5, i3, or Celeron processors and supports dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 64Gbyte. Featuring one PCIe x4 Gen4 lane and five PCIe Gen3 lanes, the module also includes 4x USB 3.0, 8x USB 2.0, and 2.5Gbit Ethernet for enhanced connectivity.

Fortec highlighted the module's commitment to data security by supporting TPM 2.0, stating, "The CEM561's adaptability and robust performance make it an unparalleled choice for developing medical devices." With dimensions of 95 x 95mm and a 2mm thick PCB, the module offers vibration endurance of 3.5Grms and operates within a wide temperature range of -40 to +85°C with appropriate cooling.
