i.MX93 DART Module Enhances Edge Devices with AI Capabilities

Variscite, a leading provider of embedded solutions, has recently unveiled a cutting-edge System on Module (SoM) featuring the powerful NXP i.MX93 processor along with the Ethos AI accelerator. The compact 55 x 30mm DART-MX93 module is specifically designed for machine learning applications on edge devices across various sectors including industrial, IoT, smart devices, and wearables.

The DART-MX93 is part of Variscite's renowned DART Pin2Pin family and shares similarities with the VAR-SOM-MX93 model introduced by the company in 2023. Equipped with the NXP i.MX93 processor boasting up to 1.7GHz Dual Cortex-A55 and a 250MHz Cortex-M33 real-time co-processor, the module also features the ARM neural processing unit Ethos-U65 microNPU.

One of the standout features of the DART-MX93 SoM is its comprehensive set of functionalities, including 2x CAN bus, 2x GbE, and industrial temperature grade specifications. Moreover, it offers a wide array of connectivity options such as camera inputs, audio in/out, ADC, 2x USB, certified Wi-Fi 6 dual-band 802.11 ax/ac/a/b/g/n, with optional 802.15.4, BT/BLE 5.3, and LVDS display outputs.
