InductEV, a leading company in the electric vehicle industry in the US, has unveiled a cutting-edge high power inductive wireless charging system designed specifically for fleets of buses. This innovative technology is set to revolutionize the way fleets are charged, making the process more efficient and sustainable.

The company, previously known as Momentum Dynamics, recently completed interoperability testing and validation to the OCPP standard between their BetterFleet charge management system and the InductEV 200kW wireless charging system. This milestone ensures seamless communication and operation on a global scale, setting a new standard for fleet charging solutions.

With over 200 complex fleets in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK already using the BetterFleet software for fleet transitioning planning and charge management, the integration of the InductEV wireless charging system brings a new level of automation and efficiency to the charging process. Vehicles can now be authorized automatically as they approach the chargers, streamlining operations for fleet managers.

Moreover, the testing revealed advanced smart-charging capabilities that enable optimal load management on the grid by controlling scheduling and power distribution directly at the wireless charger. These enhancements not only improve efficiency but also contribute to the overall sustainability of fleet operations, aligning with the global shift towards cleaner transportation solutions.

As part of their collaboration, InductEV and BetterFleet are poised to accelerate the deployment of inductive wireless fleet charging systems in both Canada and the US. Adam Halsey, Head of Canadian Business Development at InductEV, expressed his excitement about the successful interoperability testing, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on North American transit and commercial fleets.

Commenting on the collaboration, Sasha Pejcic, North America Managing Partner at BetterFleet, highlighted the company's dedication to providing top-tier fleet management solutions. The partnership with InductEV underscores their commitment to delivering innovative and interoperable solutions that support customers in achieving their zero-emission objectives. BetterFleet, a part of EVenergi based in Sydney, Australia, operates in multiple countries including the US, Canada, and the UK.

In a move to further solidify their position as industry leaders, InductEV recently inaugurated one of the world's first R&D centers for wireless vehicle charging at their headquarters in King of Prussia, US. This state-of-the-art facility will drive ongoing innovation and research in the field of wireless charging technology, positioning InductEV at the forefront of sustainable transportation solutions.
