Diodes recently introduced an automotive-compliant 10Gbit/s 6:4 active crossbar multiplexer equipped with a linear ReDriver, specifically designed for smart cockpit applications. The new PI3DPX1225Q offers seamless integration of USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 2.1 signals via a USB Type-C® connector, ensuring low-latency connectivity and high signal integrity for rear-seat entertainment systems and advanced cockpit setups.

The versatile PI3DPX1225Q supports three distinct operating modes, allowing for flexible configurations based on specific requirements. It can handle a single lane of USB 3.2 Gen 2 connected to the USB Type-C connector, a combination of one lane of USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two channels of DP 2.1 UHBR10, or all four channels of DP 2.1 UHBR10. Additionally, the device includes an AUX listener and features automatic channel swapping in compliance with the USB Type-C standard to accommodate flipped cables.

In terms of signal optimization, the PI3DPX1225Q offers advanced features such as continuous time linear equalization (CTLE) for adjusting the differential signals in both USB 3.2 Gen 2 and DP 2.1 UHBR10 modes. Control over output compression swing and flat-gain values via I2C settings enables precise signal tuning, effectively reducing intersymbol interference (ISI) jitter and enhancing overall 10Gbps signal performance across various transmission mediums.

One notable advantage of the PI3DPX1225Q is its compatibility with DP 2.1 transparent link training (LT) without relying on the DP-AUX channels listener, thanks to its support for decision feedback equalizer (DFE) receiver's adaptive channel controls. This ensures seamless operation and optimal performance in smart cockpit environments, enhancing user experience and system reliability.

Encased in a compact 40-Pin W-QFN6040-40 package with a footprint of 4mm x 6mm, the PI3DPX1225Q is tailored for space-constrained smart cockpit designs. With pricing starting at $1.87 for 3,500-piece quantities, this innovative multiplexer from Diodes offers a cost-effective solution for automotive applications seeking high-speed data transmission and reliable signal processing.
