Omron Electronic Components Europe has recently announced the expansion of its sealed power relay range with the introduction of a new 36A model, the Omron G6QE-1A4. This latest addition complements the existing G6QE 16A and 20A devices, offering enhanced flux protection capabilities.

The G6QE family of relays is designed to handle large currents of up to 36A, making it suitable for applications requiring high power switching. In addition to its high current capacity, the G6QE relays are also capable of managing inverter loads, with a switching capacity of up to 480 VAC, 36A, all within a compact form factor. These relays are engineered for energy efficiency, boasting a 12% reduction in power consumption compared to rated coil consumption, achieved through the use of a coil holding voltage set at 35% of the coil's rated voltage.

When it comes to safety, the G6QE-1A4 relays adhere to IEC/EN60079-15 standards, ensuring compliance with explosion-proof usage requirements. This makes them suitable for use in sealed equipment, including those designed for applications involving refrigerants. In an effort to reduce environmental impact, these relays have been redesigned to accommodate flammable green refrigerants. Industries such as commercial heating and cooling, heat pumps, and commercial refrigeration often require control currents of 16A or higher, making the G6QE relays an ideal choice for these applications.

One of the key features of the G6QE-1A4 relays is their energy-saving capabilities, made possible by their low coil consumption enabled by a reduced holding voltage. This not only helps in reducing energy costs but also contributes to a more sustainable operation. The relays are now available through authorized distributors and stockists across the UK and Europe, providing customers with easy access to this innovative product.
