Panasonic has recently unveiled the ZV Series, a cutting-edge Electrolytic Polymer Hybrid capacitor designed to offer advanced features and superior performance in electronic systems.

One of the standout features of the ZV Series is its impressive maximum Ripple Current, ranging from 3.3 to 4.6 Arms, which is claimed to be approximately 50% higher than other capacitors of similar case sizes. This enhanced Ripple Current capability contributes to improved efficiency and reliability in various electronic applications.

Unlike traditional capacitors that typically exhibit an Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) of around 16 mΩ at 35V, the ZV Series stands out with an ESR of just 12 mΩ at the same voltage level. This lower ESR not only enhances efficiency but also boosts the overall reliability of electronic systems where these capacitors are utilized.

Moreover, the ZV Series is AEC-Q200 qualified, ensuring that it meets the stringent quality and reliability standards required for automotive applications. With exceptional high-temperature endurance, this capacitor is rated for 4000 hours at both 135°C and 125°C, making it a robust choice for demanding environments.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the ZV Series includes vibration-proof variants capable of enduring shocks up to 30G, further solidifying its reputation as a dependable component for critical electronic systems. Its versatility is evident in a wide range of applications, from water pumps and oil pumps to cooling fans, high-current DC to DC converters, and ADAS systems.
