Quadsat, the Danish drone-based antenna testing company, has recently unveiled its latest product range, offering an extended breadth of frequency ranges and the addition of uplink capabilities.

The Quadsat range for RF measurement now includes a variety of models such as QS 1-18 DL for downlink tests covering the S-KU band, QS 6-24 DL for downlink tests in the X-KA low band, QS 17-31 DL for downlink tests in the KA band, QS 6-24 DL/UL for both downlink and uplink tests in the X-KA low band, and QS 17-31 DL/UL for downlink and uplink tests in the KA band.

These products are described as "a compact antenna testing solution" that consists of a drone with a custom-built payload, a ground control station, an RTK (real-time kinematics) system, and software designed for antenna test and measurement purposes.

"Having already demonstrated the effectiveness of the Quadsat system in conducting a wide range of measurements with a high level of accuracy, we have received significant interest in expanding our system to cover more frequency ranges and provide additional measurements," stated Quadsat CTO, Lars Bach.

"In response to this demand, we have introduced this new range. Our product team remains committed to developing innovative solutions to tackle current and future challenges in antenna testing," Bach added.

The company initially considered productizing its drone-based antenna and radio frequency test and measurement system in November 2022, moving away from a managed service model solely provided by QuadSAT engineers to allow third-party acquisition for testing requirements.

Additionally, Quadsat is rolling out a BETA version of a cloud platform that enables users to share data and reports with other stakeholders. Approved users will have real-time access to the data, streamlining approval processes significantly, according to the company.
