Raspberry Pi Integrates Hailo for Edge AI Kit

Israeli edge AI chip designer Hailo has partnered with Raspberry Pi to provide AI accelerators for the Raspberry Pi 5 AI Kit, marking a significant milestone for both companies. This collaboration opens up new possibilities for professional and enthusiast creators in the realms of home automation, security, and robotics using the powerful Hailo 8 AI accelerator.

The AI Kit, specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi 5, incorporates the M.2 HAT+ connection to seamlessly integrate the Hailo-8L M.2 AI acceleration module. This module offers an impressive 13 TOPS of edge AI inference, catering to a wide range of applications including computer vision and other edge AI tasks.

One of the key advantages for developers is the full integration of the accelerator with Raspberry Pi's camera software stack. Additionally, the Hailo software suite and model zoo provide access to a variety of out-of-the-box AI applications, making it easier for creators to implement AI functionalities in their projects.
