The newly formed Horse Powertrain, headquartered in London, is a 50-50 joint venture between Renault and Geely. By leveraging the transfer of Intellectual Property from Renault Group and Geely, Horse Powertrain has gained full autonomy in developing future powertrain technologies. This strategic move enables the company to cater to diverse market demands, particularly in the realm of alternative fuels such as green methanol, ethanol, and hydrogen.
With a global footprint encompassing 17 plants, 5 R&D centers, and 19,000 employees serving customers in 130 countries, Horse Powertrain is poised for success. The leadership team, led by CEO Matias Giannini and Chair Daniel Li, is committed to driving innovation and sustainability in the automotive sector.
