Autotalks and Secure-IC Collaborate on Secure V2X Chipset

Autotalks, a leading provider of V2X communication technology, has joined forces with end-to-end cybersecurity developer Secure-IC to bolster the security of its V2X communication chipset. This collaboration aims to fortify V2X technology against potential cyber threats, ensuring the safety and efficiency of connected vehicles on the road.

During the Embedded World show in Germany, the two companies unveiled a working V2X module featuring Autotalks' TEKTON3 chipset and Secure-IC's Securyzr Hardware Security Module (HSM). This integration of hardware and security firmware is a significant step towards creating a certifiable V2X Hardware Security Module that meets the highest industry standards.

Autotalks made a strategic decision to license Secure-IC's Securyzr IP and embed it into its chipsets, leveraging the expertise of Secure-IC in hardware security and certification services. By incorporating Secure-IC's hardware IP, Autotalks aims to enhance the security features of its third-generation chipset, solidifying its position as a leader in V2X technology and cybersecurity.

The Securyzr Hardware Security Modules provided by Secure-IC are designed to empower Autotalks' chipsets with state-of-the-art security features, enhancing trust in connected vehicle ecosystems and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

Secure-IC's Securyzr global product range for Automotive, known as Securyzr iSE_700 Series, is tailored to meet ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 requirements, with certified products achieving up to ASIL-D level. Additionally, the products are designed to comply with security certification schemes specific to the automotive industry, such as Common Criteria EAL4+ PP0114 Car2Car (V2X).
