This groundbreaking ePTO system by Hydro Leduc is set to transform the electrification of trucks and off-road vehicles. The integration of CISSOID's SiC ICM not only provides power and control for Hydro Leduc's innovative inverter but also significantly expedites the development process.
The ePTO from Hydro Leduc introduces a cutting-edge hydraulic supply system tailored for high-power tools in electric trucks and other off-road vehicles that rely on hydraulic actuators. This advancement marks a milestone in electric and hydraulic transmissions, featuring the ME230—a 76 kW brushless electric motor designed to work seamlessly with an inverter for applications up to 650 Vdc.
Designed in compliance with DIN ISO14 standards and equipped with an efficient cooling mechanism, the ME230 motor complements the new series of fixed displacement spherical piston pumps, known as the XRe, which are available in 41 or 63 cm³ displacements.
The XRe series, specially crafted for ePTO installation, boasts quiet operation, exceptional efficiency, reduced pulsations thanks to its 9-piston configuration, and rapid self-priming capabilities at high speeds. When combined, the ME230 motor and XRe pumps deliver top-notch performance and efficiency for a wide range of applications.
The CISSOID ICM seamlessly integrates a 3-phase 1200-V/340-550-A SiC power module for efficient power conversion, a gate driver board optimized for safe operation of fast-switching SiC transistors, and a control board housing a potent real-time microprocessor. This hardware setup is complemented by the OLEA® APP INVERTER software, fine-tuned for the efficient and secure management of electric motors.
Olivier Savinois, Managing Director at EL MOTION, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with CISSOID on the ePTO inverter development. He highlighted the perfect alignment of CISSOID's SiC Inverter Control Module with their requirements and the exceptional support received throughout the calibration and validation phases.
Emmanuel Poli, VP Sales at CISSOID, commended the Hydro Leduc team for swiftly recognizing the benefits of leveraging CISSOID's ICM to expedite their inverter design process. He praised the agility and efficiency of Hydro Leduc's engineers in seamlessly integrating CISSOID's hardware and software components into their motor drive system.
