This collaboration brings together DEEPX’s on-device AI semiconductors with Wind River’s VxWorks real-time operating system (RTOS) and Wind River Helix Virtualisation Platform. The aim is to propel advancements in edge AI for critical industries such as aerospace, defense, industrial automation, and robotics.
By integrating DEEPX’s neural processing units (NPUs) with Wind River technologies, businesses can seamlessly incorporate accelerated AI into their real-time or edge systems at a reduced cost. The partnership between DEEPX and Wind River offers a pre-validated stack that addresses safety and security concerns, streamlining development processes and significantly cutting down on complexity.

For instance, the DX-M1 AI accelerator boasts impressive performance of 25 TOPS (200 eTOPS) while consuming less than 5 W of power, setting a new standard for performance-to-power ratio in the industry.
The DX-V3, a robust AI vision processor developed by DEEPX, integrates a CPU, ISP, DSP, video codec, and high-performance NPU to deliver 13 TOPS of AI power with exceptional efficiency. This processor is tailored for next-generation vision systems, effortlessly handling imagery, video streams, and 3D point-cloud data.
Another standout product from DEEPX is the DX-M2, a specialized semiconductor optimized for processing Generative AI and language models with up to 20 billion parameters. With a performance range of 25-30 TPS (Tokens Per Second), the DX-M2 enables the deployment of sophisticated language models in edge and enterprise applications without compromising on response time or accuracy.
Wind River’s VxWorks, the first commercial RTOS to support Open Container Initiative (OCI) compliant containers, allows companies to swiftly deploy new software-defined capabilities. The Helix Platform, a hypervisor developed by Wind River, empowers engineering teams to consolidate multiple systems onto a single, high-performance embedded system.
