Introducing the 10/40GbE Fully Managed XMC Ethernet Switch/Router

Aitech Systems, a leading provider of rugged embedded computing solutions, has recently unveiled their latest innovation - the fully managed 10GbE/40GbE Ethernet switch/router in the XMC form factor, known as the M622. This cutting-edge technology is specifically designed for embedded and harsh environment applications, offering SWaP-C (size, weight, power, and cost) optimization in OpenVPX or SOSA aligned ruggedized embedded systems.

The compact size of the XMC form factor plays a crucial role in reducing the number of slots required when integrating with modern single board computers (SBCs) and other processing and I/O boards. The M622 is tailored to support Ethernet-based digital backbones and networks with specific requirements such as IPv4/IPv6 routing, time synchronization, security, high reliability, and network redundancy. Additionally, its fast-boot mode ensures quick configuration and readiness for operation within 45 seconds after a power-up or restart event, enhancing operational efficiency.
