NETA Auto, a prominent automotive company in China, has recently announced its collaboration with Wind River Linux to develop an Intelligent Control Domain Controller for software-defined vehicles. This innovative project aims to revolutionize the automotive industry by integrating cutting-edge technology into vehicle control systems.

The NETA HOZI supercomputing XPC-32G, which serves as an integrated gateway domain controller, is based on the S32G from NXP Semiconductor and runs Wind River Linux. This system acts as the central nervous system within intelligent vehicles, facilitating iterative vehicle upgrades and enhancing overall performance.

One of the key features of the HOZI XPC-ICDC is its utilization of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) software framework developed in collaboration with HiRain Technologies. This framework integrates nine core functions, including central gateway, vehicle thermal management, battery energy management, power torque management, remote diagnostics and calibration, full data collection, SOA Gateway, edge computing, and over-the-air (OTA) master.

According to Dai Dali, the CTO of NETA Auto, the HOZI XPC-S32G will be integrated into the company's new vehicles, starting with the upcoming NETA S model set to launch later this year. Dali emphasized the pivotal role that the HOZI XPC-S32G will play in enhancing the intelligence and software-defined capabilities of NETA Auto products, providing customers with new and advanced intelligent experiences.

Woody Zou, the General Manager of Wind River in China, highlighted the significance of software in driving innovation in the automotive industry. Zou emphasized that Wind River Linux offers a high-performance open-source framework that enables automakers like NETA Auto to develop and deploy software applications rapidly, thereby accelerating the evolution of software-defined vehicles.
