Pi 5 Boards Now Shipping with 4G and 5G Connectivity

The latest Raspberry Pi 5 4G and 5G boards are now available for same day shipping from Farnell, the exclusive global licensee of Raspberry Pi products.

Featuring a powerful 2.4GHz quad-core, 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 CPU with 512KB L2 caches and a 2MB shared L3 cache, the new board opens up a wide range of applications. Additionally, it comes with on-board dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 connectivity for seamless wireless communication.

The RP1 I/O controller chip, developed in-house at Raspberry Pi, marks a significant improvement in interfacing performance, enhancing the overall user experience.

To complement the Raspberry Pi 5, a variety of new accessories have been introduced, including a case with an integrated variable-speed fan for optimal cooling. For users requiring heavy load usage without a case, an active cooler is available as an alternative cooling solution.

Moreover, a new 27W USB-C PD power supply capable of delivering up to 5A of current at 5.1V ensures that the Raspberry Pi 5 can power a wide array of peripherals, making it a versatile and powerful computing solution.
