Revolutionary 20 Gbps Universal USB Peripheral Controller Unveiled

The EZ-USB FX20 peripheral controller is revolutionizing high-speed connectivity with its USB 20 Gbps and LVDS interfaces, offering a significant increase in total bandwidth compared to its predecessor, the EZ-USB FX3.

The new EZ-USB FX20 is a flexible component that empowers developers to create powerful and advanced applications."

The compact 10 x 10-mm BGA package of the EZ-USB FX20 requires minimal PCB space, allowing for Bill of Materials (BOM) optimization and making it perfect for space-constrained applications. Its support for direct USB-C connection without a high-speed signal multiplexer simplifies the design process. The quick-start development kit includes firmware and a configuration tool for seamless integration, along with a standard FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) connector for easy connection to Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) cards.

The EZ-USB FX20 is powered by two ARM Cortex-M4 and M0+ core CPUs, boasting 512 KB Flash, 128 KB SRAM, 128 KB ROM, and seven serial communication blocks (SCBs). It features a cryptography accelerator and a high-bandwidth data subsystem that facilitates Direct Memory Access (DMA) data transfers between LVDS/LVCMOS and USB ports at speeds of up to 20 Gbps. An additional 1 MB of SRAM is dedicated to USB data buffering, ensuring efficient data transfer.

Furthermore, the EZ-USB FX20 integrates USB-C port orientation detection and flip-mux functionality, eliminating the need for external logic. This comprehensive feature set makes the EZ-USB FX20 an ideal choice for developers seeking a robust and adaptable USB controller for their projects.
